Reporting to the Branch Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for: • Undertaking lending activities within specified limits, managing a portfolio of loans and monitoring overdrawn current accounts to ensure that excesses are not allowed or are kept to a minimum and that the appropriate approval is obtained. • Ensuring that credits are reviewed before expiry dates and / or required extensions done. • Ensuring compliance to Regulator's requirements. • Ensuring a high level of service is maintained and that credit applications are presented in a professional and timely manner. • Ensuring accounts that are under his/her control do not deteriorate below the "performing" level. IDEALLY. CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE: • A Degree in Management Studies, Finance, Economics, or equivalent • A minimum of four (4) years experience in general credit and loan • Detailed knowledge of consumer and commercial lending practices and credit analysis • A thorough knowledge of the Banking Act and Bank of Jamaica regulations regarding credit classification, provisioning and non-accrual requirements • Sound knowledge of local and international investment activities • A high level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: • Strong negotiating, analytical and problem solving skills • Ability to effectively assess lending risks and make appropriate recommendations • Excellent networking and relationship building skills • Excellent Interpersonal and Supervisory management skills Ability to understand and deal with customers' individual needs and requirements Interested persons who meet the specified requirements are invited to submit applications for consideration to fghrd@gkco.com by August 11, 2010 or to: The Vice President - Human Resources First Global 2 St. Lucia Avenue — 5th Floor Kingston 5 Fax: 960-7235 DEADLINE: August 11, 2010 |
