FocalPoint CONSULTING LTD. (FocalPoint) was incorporated under the Companies Act, as a Limited Company on November 11, 2002.  Its formation arose from the demand for an independent regional consulting firm that can focus on delivering solutions to business needs for the achievement of organisational objectives.  In satisfying this demand, the principals of FocalPoint understand that it must exhibit competence, integrity, consistency, professionalism, and the ability to deliver on time and to satisfy clients within the context of their mission.


MISSION

In understanding this need, FocalPoint’s mission is “to provide management consultancy services locally and internationally by deploying a blend of experienced international and local consultants and technology, with integrity, trust and loyalty, aligning management and systems to achieve the business objectives of its clients”.  This aim emanates from FocalPoint’s vision “to become the leading consulting firm in the developing countries by providing a full range of consulting services to bring about innovative, results-focused solutions while maintaining its principles of integrity, trust and loyalty”.


COMPANY HISTORY

FocalPoint was founded by Henry Williams and John Beman, former partners of KPMG, and I.V. Polly Brown, past president of Jamaica Promotion Ltd, three experienced established and respected consultants who brought together their knowledge of Public Sector Business, Organisation and Operations Management, Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Strategic Technology Management and Economic Development.  Of this group, Henry Williams and John Beman remain active in the firm, and have been joined by Lisa Packer Chang, an organisational and HR development specialist, and Michael Terrelonge, an Information Technology Specialist.  These professionals are the main agents in delivering effective and efficient solutions to achieve business objectives.
